Comcastic my Asstic

Normally I try not to complain and I think it takes a lot to get me going, but my recent experience with my cable company has got me pretty ticked off. Not really sure when it was, but Comcast recently bought out Insight. I think I had Insight for a couple years and never had any problems with them. I remember when my initial year was up, they sent me a letter saying my bill was gonna change...I think $3 or $4. So now I have had the pleasure of dealing with Comcast.

Back in July my digital box decided to stop working. I called at least 8 times over a span of 5 days and finally they sent someone out. Sure enough I needed a new one. Which normally I would jump for joy, but I was rather sad because I had most of season 4 of The Office recorded. This is the bestest show ever, but I'll talk about that on another blog. Now I realize it was not Comcasts fault the box decided to die, but I kinda thought 8 phone calls was a bit much. I will say they have one hottie cable guy though......

I got my latest bill this past weekend. Now I have both high speed internet and cable along with HD and DVR so my bill was around $107. I opened the lastest one up to find that it was $167. What the heck....so I was looking and I really couldn't see what had changed. Still highspeed internet, digital, dvr, hd. And I noticed that some of the costs had come down. Well come to find out my year was up again and the prices were all changing. Somehow it changed at the beginning of the last cycle so I had to pay some prorated amounts and then the new amounts for Sept. And my new bill is going to be about $134. I think not. So now I will be getting Dish Network with a bunch of HD channels for 49.99 and AT&T DSL for 34.99. That's quite a bit of monthly savings if you ask me. At least enough to cover a couple happy hours at Kellehers! =)

Yeah...I totally hate Comcast. When I just moved, I switched to DirecTv for cable and ATT for internet.

But...my one question....didn't Comcast have that hot cable guy? Dang.

Comcast searches blogs for negative entries about their company & service.

The best way to get anything done with them is to complain about them on a blog. lol
